Day 1: The first part of my adventure is right in my backyard; the south east corner of Oahu. It's windy, dramatic and beautiful and I've had my paddleboard out here more than anywhere else. If it's windy, the first part from Makapu'u to Portlock will be rough, choppy and wild. It's also a great place to get some exciting photos and video. From Portlock to AlaMoana I can do with my eyes closed. I'll be fresh and don't anticipate any trouble at all in this first 25 miles.
