It was an Adventure
Just past the half way mark tonight Penny screamed and Jeff realized that she had been stung by a jellyfish. Within ten minutes she had a violent reaction with cramping and nausea. At the point when she could only do 10 to 15 strokes without vomiting from pain it was decided that her swim had to come to an end. She is now in the boat with welts on her arms but she is okay. The boat is headed towards Kauai where Penny and the crew will spend the night before heading back to Oahu. We applaud her attempt and wish her well.

Unlucky Penny, sterling effort. I know you'll be back.
Great attempt! Something tells me you'll try again.
Too bad, but what a courageous effort! Good luck in your future attempts.
What kind of jelly fish..Portuguese Man-of-War can be nasty but not usually that toxic. Was it box jelly fish? I swim often and jellyfish are a concern so just want to find out what could have caused such a terrible reaction?
WOW! What's next?
