2817 Mile Challenge Totals


This is the "official" list of miles for the Koz Hawaii Blue Planet Run 2817 Mile Challenge.
I plan on updating this post at least weekly so check back often. There will be a direct link in the upper right of this blog.
Guidelines
Paddleboard, kayak or OC1 - 10 mile minimum to be counted
Swimming - 3 mile open ocean to count
Running or hiking - 8 miles to count
biking - 20 miles in a day to count
Sailing canoe or Sport catamaran - 20 miles to count.
Nothing in a car or plane counts.

I will add to these guidelines as necessary because I'm making up a lot of this as I go.

2) paddleboard from Hawaii Kai to Magic Island: 11 miles (5/3)
3) paddleboard from Magic Island to Hawaii Kai: 11 miles (5/10)
4) urban hike from Waikiki to Hawaii Kai: 9.25 miles (5/19)
5) Paddle board from Hawaii Kai boat ramp to Alan Davis beach and back: 12.5 miles (5/31)

7) Bike ride: 22 miles - (6/17)
8) Bike ride: 22 miles - (6/24)
9) Bike ride: 22 miles - ((6/29)
10) Bike ride: 22 miles - (7/1)

12) Bike ride :54 miles - (7/5)
13) Bike around Oahu 140 miles: 7/11)
14) Bike ride 32 miles (7-13)
15) Bike ride 22 miles (7-15)

Between August 1st and September 26 -

1025 miles on the bike
3 twenty two mile paddles (Hawaii Kai to Magic Island and Back)  66 miles
4 twelve mile runs
6 eight and a half mile runs
Lots of shorter runs and paddles and bike rides that don't count.
Since august 1st: 1190 miles
Total toward the goal: 2061 miles
