Blue Planet Network's 2010 Approved and Funded Projects Will Bring Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation to 19,500 People

We want to share with you the great water and sanitation projects that have just been funded through the generosity of the Blue Planet Network community… and ask for your help in funding more.

19,500 people around the world in India, Kenya, Mali, Uganda, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras and Cambodia will benefit from safe drinking water and/or improved sanitation because of your support. Thank you!

These are real children who will be healthy enough to go to school, real women who will be able to take better care of their families and become leaders in their villages, real communities that will prosper.

Project funding is up 23% vs. 2009. This is an accomplishment to celebrate, especially in these difficult economic times. But we still have five outstanding projects that need funding. Please read about them and make a year-end donation. Help us make clean water a reality for these families also!

We have our 73 members to thank for their outstanding work that makes this progress possible. They have worked with us, and each other, as part of our Peer Water Exchange to find the best projects and share information on their outcome. They also have trusted us to manage over $26 million of their project data to promote best practices. Our 2010 Intel Environment Award recognizes the power of this approach and challenges us to do more.

With our deepest thanks,
Lisa Nash
