Jamie Mitchell of Queensland Australia won the 32-mile Molokai-to-Oahu world championship race in record time, claiming his 10th straight world paddleboard title. The 34 year old bested his course record from 2007 by 8 minutes, with a time of 4 hours, 30 minutes and 41 seconds.
It looks like Jamie Mitchell will be done after this year. He said this after the race. ”Go out at the top,” said Mitchell with a smile. “It’s time for a new challenge. I’ve worked hard to get this. Ten years is a long time. It’s time to chase something new.”
